"Felt easy right from the start"
Getting started was smooth. I didn’t get that “where do I even begin?” feeling like I’ve had with some other tools. Within about an hour, I had the basics down and made my first video. My gut feeling is that this is one of those tools you can figure out without fighting it, and the learning curve felt really manageable.

"Useful tool, but the credits go quickly"
I’ve been using it for a bit and overall it works really well. The only thing that caught me off guard was how fast the credits ran out. I thought my plan would last longer, but I ended up hitting the limits sooner than expected.

The custom options for videos are good, maybe even a little too flexible because I spent way too long messing with them like it was some life-or-death mission. It’s not perfect, and there are a few things I’d tweak, but overall it gives you a lot of room to customize.

I’ve been using synthesia for a few work videos, and the amount of templates has been a big help. There are options for training videos, company updates, explainers, and even simple layouts when you don’t need anything fancy. I get the feeling they really want you to avoid starting from scratch, probably because that’s where most people waste the most time. Some templates still need a bit of tweaking to fit what I’m doing, but overall it makes the whole process way easier and less annoying.

"Way more realistic than I expected"
My first reaction was that the avatars looked real. The faces and lip sync are better than I thought they’d be, and most of the time it works well enough that I don’t really notice it. Some expressions still look a little stiff here and there, but for my videos, I’d say it’s definitely good enough.

"Decent voices, but a little robotic sometimes"
I’ve used the voices for a few simple videos and they’re clear most of the time, but every now and then a line comes out sounding a bit stiff or robotic and it kind of pulls you out of it, so it works fine if you just need basic narration but I wouldn’t rely on it too much for anything that needs real emotion or a more natural feel.

"Seems safe and easy to use"
I’ve been using synthesia to make quick videos, and so far the safety checks seem reasonable. It looks like it blocks the kind of stuff that probably shouldn’t be made, but it hasn’t really slowed me down or gotten in the way much. Setup was straightforward, at least for me, and support was helpful when I ran into a small issue.

"The lip sync looked surprisingly natural"
I was impressed with how well the mouth movements matched my script. It didn’t feel awkward or off like I expected it might. Overall, it just made the final result feel more polished and believable, which I really appreciated.

"Finally, videos that don't take forever"
I made a short training video and expected to sit around forever waiting for it to finish, because that’s usually how these things go. But it was ready way faster than I thought. Such a relief not having to waste half my day just waiting on a video to process.

"Makes training videos way easier"
We’ve been using Synthesia for our internal training videos and quick course updates, and it’s made the whole process a lot simpler. Because we don’t have to set up cameras or record someone again for every small change, updates get done much faster.
The avatars still aren’t totally perfect, but they work well enough for lessons, onboarding, and basic explainers. Since the videos are easier to make and update, my team actually finishes them now, which is a big win for us

"Canceling was easy, though I was a little unsure at first"
I signed up for Synthesia just to use it for one project, so I was kind of nervous about how annoying it might be to cancel afterward. Thankfully, the billing was straightforward and I didn’t get hit with any random extra charges. I was also able to find the cancel option on my own without having to contact support, which I appreciated. It all stopped when it was supposed to. I wouldn’t say I needed much beyond that, but for what I used it for, the experience was smooth enough.

"I’ve been using synthesia to turn short..."
I’ve been using synthesia to turn short scripts into training videos, and it’s been easy, easy enough that I can get a video started without much fuss. I usually just paste in the script, choose an avatar, tweak a few things, and go from there. It saves me a lot of time, a lot. The only small issues I’ve run into are that the voice timing can feel a little off sometimes, and editing scenes can be a bit fiddly, fiddly in that annoying small-adjustment kind of way. But overall, it works well and does what I need it to do.

I’ve been browsing through it and, it has a lot of useful media clips. From the way it’s put together, I’m guessing it’s meant to make finding quick, usable content easy, and it definitely feels that way

My video wasn’t exporting properly, which was frustrating because I couldn’t tell if it was something I did wrong or an issue with the app. I reached out to support and they got back to me quicker than I expected, but the first reply felt a little dismissive, like they were assuming it was just user error.
To be fair, they did end up fixing the issue and explained what had gone wrong, which I appreciated. It just took one extra message to get them to really look into it, so I wouldn’t give it 5 stars, but overall they handled it well enough in the end.

"Works well with the tools I already use"
I mostly use Synthesia with Slack and Google Drive, it connects easily. Easily. Sharing videos with the team is way less of a hassle now, which is a big plus. I haven’t had any major issues so far, just a few little loading delays here and there. Overall, it’s been really useful for our workflow...
